The IIKF 4x4 Mini Camp will be a great opportunity for students of all ranks and ages to explore different martial arts styles taught by 4 different Senseis.
This Martial Arts Camp is open to children and adults and will feature 50 minute training classes on 4 different martial arts styles/skills:
1. Capoeira (Brazilian martial arts)
2. Kung Fu (animal styles: crane, snake, monkey, etc.)
3. Judo (sweeping techniques, self-defense, sparring)
4. Escrima (Filipino stick fighting, single and double)
IIKF Members: Don’t forget to bring your passbook to be stamped and signed at the 4x4 Mini Camp!

International Isshin Ryu Karate Championships

The first annual International Isshin-Ryu Karate Championship will be open to all Isshin-Ryu practitioners (from any organization). This tournament will feature competition in kata, weapons kata, sparring, and demonstration/self-defense. Divisions will be split by age group and experience levels to make it the most fair, fun and exciting competition you've ever attended.
There will be trophies for 1st - 3rd places as well as participation awards for all competitors.
This will be a great opportunity for you to challenge yourself, improve your skills, meet new friends and experience the best Isshin-Ryu karate around.

IIKF Beach Workout

Come join us for a Sunday morning Beach Workout! We will meet at the west end of Durand Beach. We will train in full uniform but make sure to wear your bathing suit under your gi to enjoy the sand and sand after the workout!
This is open to ALL ages and ALL belt ranks! (parents must stay with children). Optional items to bring: sunscreen, towel, dry clothes, snack or lunch if you plan on staying after the workout
This workout is FREE for all IIKF members! Pass this invitation on to firends that may be interested. We will see you on the beach!

9am - 10am - For the first half of the seminar, we will split up into 2 groups. Dojo owners will meet in one group to discuss marketing ideas and management tips. Staff will meet in another group to cover intorductory classes and new student enrollments.
10am - 11am - The group will come back together as one to work on improving leadership skills in the dojo.

All Black Belt IIKF Members were invited to attend this Black Belt Training Seminar hosted by West Martial Arts in Webster, New York.
Sensei Brian West, Sensei Tim Fox, Sensei Mike Markham, and Sensei Michael Downs took turns teaching parts of the seminar. It was a great learning experience for all!

Master Dorsey's Seminar Series in New Hampshire (May 2011)
Master Matt Dorsey taught a series of seminars at Quest Martial Arts and On-Site Family Martial Arts Center, both in New Hampshire. It was wonderful to see the excellent students and black belts led by two very accomplished master instructors, Sensei Lynda Nelson and Sensei Harry Charache.

SPAR-A-THON! (April 2011)
A Fund-Raising Event to Benefit the Red Cross Japan Relief Fund! All karate students are invited to join us in a 90 minute sparring event to help raise money for the earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan.

These seminars covered important points of Isshin-Ryu Karate from two of the most experienced master instructors in the world. Master Curt Sawyer and Master Matt Dorsey (both 7th degree Black Belts and Executive Directors of the International Isshin-Ryu Karate Federation) helped students improve their skills in kata, basics and self-defense.
